Lead Gold Group Coach

Coaches: Goldsharks1 & 2, Goldjets, Goldlightning

I am excited to begin my role as a coach with the Aquajets Swim Team. This short course season, I will be coaching the Goldsharks and Goldjets. I hope to contribute to the swimming development of these young athletes and also to their growth as individuals.  Our goal will be to experience a "Golden" season.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and a minor in Biology. I enjoyed a long teaching career in the Minneapolis Public School system teaching elementary physical education. During my teaching years, I also coached swimming while affiliated with the  AAU and USS organizations.

With the Aquajets, our Gold groups will be focusing on the basic fundamentals of swimming ie. "swimming efficiently". It will be important that our young athletes are good listeners, so they will not miss any thing that is being taught. The attitude on deck will be encouraging and positive. I live for those teachable moments - when a swimmer grasps the fundamental being taught - the "light bulb comes on" - and he or she displays that big smile!

I am fortunate to be a member of a very talented coaching staff and swim team. I look forward to meeting everyone. Let's all work hard, have fun, and enjoy a great season!
