Following a lightning-fast, jam-packed spring and summer of meets, Aquajets swimmers were trained, rested, and ready to RACE at their season-ending long-course championship meets. MINNESOTA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
July 18-20, Rochester
4th Place
With 82 swimmers entered, Aquajets kicked off the championship meets season with a fourth-place finish at our assigned MRC meet, hosted by Minnetonka Swim Team. Throughout the two-and-a-half-day meet, Aquajets swimmers earned 45 new entries to the State meets with new Champ times and Win It, Swim It entries, and posted dozens of time drops and outstanding swims.
 
MINNESOTA 10 & UNDER AGE GROUP STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
July 23-24, University of Minnesota
1st Place
They are small but mighty! The 10 & Under crew wasn’t huge in numbers, but they were the biggest in heart, determination, and fun, and brought home the LCM State Championship with 683 points, almost 130 points ahead of second place. Fifteen of Aquajets’ 23 swimmers scored individual points (65%)! Congratulations to Schuyler Carry for finishing third in the 8 & Under High Point race. Best of all, Aquajets made our presence known with awesome cheering and positive energy on the pool deck! 
 
MINNESOTA 11-14 LCM AGE GROUP STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
July 24-27, University of Minnesota
1st Place
Overlapping with their younger teammates, the 11-14 Age Group State Meet also took place at the U of M, beginning Thursday morning through Sunday night.
 
The team took control of the meet early on and won the LCM state title by more than 700 points. Thirty-three of Aquajets’ 44 swimmers scored individual points for the team (75%), and 68% Aquajets' relays scored in the top 8. Nine of Aquajet's 34 relays finished in first place (26%). Congratulations to Jason Lou and Julian Stumpf, who finished first and third, respectively, in the 11-12 boys High Point race. 
 
The cheering from the bleachers and at the ends of the lanes was so powerful, and the kids had amazing, positive POWER OF THE TEAM attitudes the entire weekend. 
 
TYR FUTURES CHAMPIONSHIP
July 23-26, Madison, WI
Aquajets sent 15 swimmers to the TYR Futures Championship in Madison, WI, and although we were small in numbers, the swimmers competed hard and posted many new best times and gained valuable high-level meet experience. Congratulations to Rohan D’Souza-Larson, who set a new pool record in the men’s 100m breaststroke! It was a great final meet for some of our graduating seniors and college swimmers. 
 
MINNESOTA SENIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
July 31-August 1, Fargo, ND
1st Place
Aquajets had strength in numbers to close out our State Meet run as we secured our third team championship of the LCM season at the beautiful Hulbert Aquatic Center in Fargo, ND. Aquajets compiled a total of 3,282.50 points, more than 1,500 points ahead of second place. Forty-two Aquajets swimmers competed over the three-and-a-half days, with 35 scoring individual points for the team (83%). Fifteen of Aquajets’ 18 relays scored in the Top 8 (83%), with seven relays finishing first (39%).
 
Congratulations to Emma Rudowsky, who won the girls’ High Point competition with 147 points and was third in the girls’ Distance High Point race. Teammate, Kaela Haycraft, won the girls’ Distance High Point title with 95 points in the 400 IM, 400 Free, 800 Free, and 1500 Free. Conner Hogan finished third in the boys’ High Point race with 148.50 points.
 
 
SPEEDO JUNIOR NATIONALS
July 30-August 4, Irvine, CA
Aquajets sent nine swimmers to Irvine for the final meet of the summer. The team was led by Jiarui Xue, who scored in the top 16 in all five of his individual events, highlighted by a 5th-place finish in the men’s 1500 free. Nate Carr also recorded a podium swim with his 8th-place finish in the men’s 200 fly on the first night of competition. The men’s 400 medley relay finished 11th, and the women’s 200 free relay finished 12th to add to the team scoring.
